If you want to change your life, start journaling. I’m not kidding. My own personal journaling practice began at the beginning of 2017 and was a turning point for radical shifts in my mindset that led to the kind of big changes that allowed me to become a full time artist AND a homeschooling single mom at the same time. Why? There is probably a spiritual guru who can make it sound more exciting but for me it boils down to this: once thoughts are outside of your brain, they become tools to change the future. Writing down your hopes and dreams and prayers allows you to sort through them and take action to make them happen (or, alternately, see that what you thought you wanted wasn’t really what you want after all). Gratitude lists are a seriously grounding practice that let you SEE how much you have and how far you’ve come.
